Have you been pulled over or fined for improperly securing your load or not having the proper paperwork in Minnesota?
At this April 8 session, learn exactly what you may encounter during a roadside inspection in Minnesota, and the correct way to comply with the state law.
Minnesota State Patrol Commercial Vehicle Inspector Eric Sundby will lead a presentation on compliance with state statutes and federal regulations pertaining to vehicle equipment, securing loads, driver qualifications, hours of service and other requirements.
"We had this same instructor at a company training and I suggested it for an HBA Lunch Session because he is very engaging. He made the inspection process less intimidating, relating things to personal experiences in real life situations, stressing that they are not 'out to get you,' but to help you. This class is designed to assist you in knowing what the rules are, and becoming compliant with the regulations."
Scott Persoon | construction manager at Camrud-Foss Concrete Constr., Inc.
HBA of F-M members are invited to bring their rig for the mock inspection.
Please advise upon registration if you would like to do this.
About the instructor: Sundby has been with the Minnesota State Patrol for 24 years. He is also a trainer for the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and conducts commercial vehicle inspection training sessions across the United States.
