Power Limited Refresher
This course is approved for 8 hours of interactive lecture for continuing education in Minnesota (and other states) for all electrical licenses. The subject matter includes changes found in the 2020 edition of the National Electrical Code as they pertain to topics covered in the Power Limited Technician exam.
This includes, but is not limited to,
• requirements of the Minnesota Electrical Act,
• National Electrical Code requirements of communication circuits,
• power-limited Class 1, 2 and 3 raceway and
• cable requirements and low voltage lighting systems.
Instructor Ben Doyle is with Minnesota State Community and Technical College. He teaches customized, non-credit classes in maintenance, electrical and safety for M State Workforce Development Solutions, as well as credit- based classes for maintenance and electrical programs.
Doyle has associate’s degrees in agriculture resources technology, electrical construction and an liberal arts. His past experience includes work in commercial, residential, industrial and agriculture industries and encompasses drafting, design, estimation, heavy equipment operation and commercial driving.

This course has been approved by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for 8 hours of code.
