APPROVAL AND CREDITS
These courses have been approved by the the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry for seven credits of residential contractor continuing education (referenced to the left) satisfying requirements for building contractor, residential remodeling or residential roofing for re-licensure. This includes the required one hour of energy (for all contractors). If an approved class is cancelled, all fees will be returned within 15 days of the date of cancellation.

Classes are approved for seven North Dakota Professional Builder credits through the North Dakota Association of Builders. For more on the NDPB designation: www.ndbuild.com.

CLASS DETAILS:
8:30 A.M. GARAGE DOOR UPS & DOWNS (2 CREDITS)
Learn everything you’ve ever wanted to know about overhead doors. This class covers garage-door installation in detail, jamb options, roll-up doors, quality, styles and installation tips. INSTRUCTOR: BUILDING PRODUCTS, INC.

10:30 A.M. STOP WASTING ENERGY (1.8 CREDITS-ENERGY)
Today’s consumer is more energy-conscious than ever. Learn ways to stand out with BPI’s ten energy-efficient strategies, details about insulating, types of construction, participating in the HERS Index energy rating, and ways to see how construction is performing with blower door tests, duct leakage tests, combustion analyzers and infrared cameras. 1 P.M. EXTERIOR DOORS (2 CREDITS)
Open the door to a world of knowledge. This class on residential door options gives an overview on material choices including steel, fiberglass, wood and commercial. Learn about purchase drivers for consumers, market analysis, product features, frames and sills as well as door testing. INSTRUCTOR: BUILDING PRODUCTS, INC.

3 P.M. MAKING MONEY WITH GREEN BUILDING
(1.2 CREDITS-ENERGY)
This objectives of this class include learning key design areas for best energy savings, engineering a building envelope for savings and sustainability, as well as documenting key features above code for buyers, Realtors, appraisers and lenders. INSTRUCTOR: SOLUTION DESIGN INC.
